Future Planning

I will be using this as a space to piece together where I would love to be and what I would love to be doing in the future:

Writing my dissertation on Music Festival Fashion allowed me to become completely absorbed in the industry, not only in festivals of today, but from the origans of festivals and faits, I think England has always had a national appetite for festival 'merriment'. I cant imagine anything better than working on the sites creating the playground where people go to loose themselves for the weekend. I have previously worked for FarmFest decorating the acoustic tent, and flyers...

Some festivals I love...one day maybe???

100 layer cake. The discovery of this blog was a turning point for me. Before them I didn't know wedding design existed, let alone in such a personal, intricate handcrafted way. And before I knew it hours had passed..

We both love their work. Hopefully its the sort of thing that we could do together one day..

MORAG MYERSCOUGH

I recently had the pleasure of being involved in a meeting with Morag. She is currently working on the design of LCC gradute show. She last year designed the space for POWER OF 10, which was last years series of shows, and I thought they were fantastic. Looking forward to seeing the result of this years work.

Here she is interviewed by Design Council

A career in design ... Morag Myerscough from Design Council on Vimeo.

I am really interested in her approach, working on all areas of a project. I admire the variety of her talent, and her imagination within spaces.

I have always loved the ability a space has to create an experience, and would love to work on this scale. More examples of Morag's work:

WANTED: Perfect Job

Seeking somewhere I can design tangible experiences for boutique events & brands; working on invites, mail outs, books, visual merchandising, set & event design with an emphasis on DIY handmade work. At a small agency who drink lots of tea, don't start work until 11 but work late, play the music I like in a little studio with a terrace to work on when its sunny, in London. I don't mind what colour the walls are.

Much to ask?
If this is you. Contact: ME.
